Kuching Festival is an annual event organized by Kuching South City Council to commemorate Kuching being elevated to city status on 1st August 1988 and held to boost local tourism and food industry. Ample activities are lined up for the whole month to attract local and tourist alike, with the food fair being the most anticipated event besides the trade fair, nightly entertainment and the garden show.
