The town of Bau, 22km from Kuching is famed as a former gold mining centre and as the primary scene of the Chinese Rebellion of 1857. Nowadays its most popular attractions are its two unusual limestone caves. The Fairy Cave is so-called because of a stalagmite structure at its entrance which is said to resemble Kuan Yin, the Chinese Goddess of Mercy. The Wind Cave is named for the constant cooling breeze which blows through it.

Tour Duration- 6 Hours

Bau Fairy & Wind Cave (6 hours)

0830hrs: Pickup from the Hotel and proceed for 1 hour journey to Bau Town.

0930hrs: Arrive at the first cave, Fairy Cave and begin the exploration of this fascinating cave which normally takes about 2 hours (a flight of staircases to climb).

1130hrs: Proceed to the Wind Cave which is 10 minutes away. This cave normally takes about an hour to explore.

1230hrs: Enjoy your packed lunch at the recreational area.

1330hrs: Return to the city.

1430hrs: Arrive at Hotel.
